    Description:
    This seminar will provide an introduction to ASHRAE 90.1 with specific reference to pumps with integrated controls. Participants will understand how energy savings are achieved and learn how to use an ROI calculator to support savings claims. Key topic areas will include: hydronic system balancing pumping controls; opportunities for pumping energy reduction; and a detailed look at pipe sizing ROI calculations. To assist in the learning outcomes, three case studies will also be reviewed.

    This session is eligible for 1.5 BOMA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Credit and 1.5 OAA ConEd learning hours. This session is GBCI approved for 1.5 Continuing Education Credits.

    Brent Ross

    During his 20-year career with Armstrong Limited, most recently as Global Director of Core and Hydronic Solutions, Brent Ross has served the HVAC industry and has spearheaded efforts to develop numerous innovative energy efficient solutions for HVAC fluid requirements. He has written seminars and papers on energy efficient Hydronic systems and equipment and has presented them to various audiences around the world. Brent has also served as Vice Chairman of ASHRAE TC 8:10 Pumps and Hydronic Systems and co chairman of The Hydraulic Institute / Pump Systems Matter committee for Utility Energy Rebate & Incentive Development. Currently, he sits on the Hydraulic Institute committee representing energy standards for pumps with the US Department of Energy.
